Amigas Studio, founded by Eli Corominas, embodies these principles through handcrafted glass jewelry that tells a story of connection and personal transformation. Eli’s path from Barcelona to Encinitas, California, gives Amigas Studio its distinctly elevated yet grounded energy — a blend of Mediterranean soul and West Coast ease. Her background in conscious branding and her passion for design come to life through mouth-blown borosilicate glass, known for its clarity and strength — the perfect material metaphor for inner resilience and outer radiance.
I actually discovered Eli on social media when I was in my early years of college — maybe even late high school. I looked up to her. I could sense she had an international flare and a perspective I didn’t see in many of my peers. As someone who’s 99% European descent and American-born and raised (me), I felt an unspoken connection to her presence — she always appeared so well put together, creative, cool, and expansive. Blonde and worldly, like the muse archetype you’d dream of becoming. And it makes sense now: Eli also launched a creative consulting company, Leaveli, an inspired branding agency that blends wellness, nature, and intentional living — with clients featured in Goop, Vogue, and Elle. She might have even been the first "influencer" for me, before that word ever really meant what it means now.
Seeing her carve out her creative life in California over the past decade has deeply inspired me to stay the course here in Miami. While Miami and New York may not be as far as California and Spain, there’s still something comforting in knowing you’re not alone when others choose to live far from home. We can always return — and in the meantime, we build beautiful lives where we are.
We're all helping one another grow, and Locals Closet is about exactly that: stepping into the power of our infinite potential, embodying our higher selves, and attracting women-owned businesses that are launching their own visions into the world. It’s a beautiful ebb and flow of divine feminine energy — earth angels, sistars, and muses supporting each other.
We’re also excited to announce a budding partnership between Locals Closet and Amigas Studio. This summer, at our upcoming cacao ceremonies and clothing swap events in Miami, I’ll possibly be wearing and showcasing select pieces from Eli’s collection — sharing them with the women in my circle, and inviting the energy of intention, adornment, and authenticity into each gathering.
