Locals Closet migrated North for the Winter, a more fitting and true to the term snowbird
-
We partnered with a store nearby, The Huntress in Pound Ridge, NY just past the Connecticut state line and we’re Locals Closet conceptualized over a decade ago from our hometown where we started swapping clothes before it was something sustainable to do
-
After our travels internationally and moving between major cities on the East Coast from NYC to Miami and back, we became obsessed with the idea of style as place
-
From emerging designers, small artisans, seasoned experts in vintage collection and locals, we work with high-end retailers and hospitality to connect talent to markets
The Designers
While Flora Vintage, Haute Energy and A Shirt Story are based in New York and Connecticut highly tapped into high-end retailers and clients, we also wanted to introduce Coldsnow and Draft Studio to our winter pop-up from our Miami Travels, because to us testing new markets, giving designer the opportunity to introduce themselves to new areas and place, is what we live and breathe.
a storé by me
A play on for a story by me and a store located nearby place of residency for the season that successfully activated our locals closet pop-up installation and dream.
Locals Closet finds itself at the Mayflower Inn and Spa at the The Auberge in Washington, CT
Our designer integrated into a new market successfully in high-end retail and hospitality for both locals and travelers to shop alike. You can also find local wardrobe pieces hidden in-between racks of both store locations, like feathered mini-skirts and pink tea party dresses adorned on mannequins. Although our name isn’t on the tag, the hearts and hands of Locals indeed are. Designers we also live and love include Haute Energy, Flora Vintage and A Shirt Story.
Lost and Found: You can find Locals Closet unique items like Coldsnow and items from Locals Wardrobes to seamlessly immerse into the culture and season of the North East as your elevated self and step into your power of infinite potential.

The Huntress, New York *
The Huntress, New York became Locals Closet meet-point. The store is owned by Jenny Wolfe, and we partnered with their team to create a Locals Closet activation for locals to swap clothes and shop our curated list of local artisans and designers. Our first event we brought in designers we met along our travels from Miami, Coldsnow, specifically owned by Mary Coldsnow, imported beautiful jackets from Istanbul, Turkey to our collective of locals to shop at both locations of The Huntress in Pound Ridge.
